In 2024, we laid the groundwork for a smart AI work assistant and introduced more advanced task management features to empower teams. Our goal is always to make Morningmate easy for anyone to use, scaleable to support every stage your team’s growth, and smarter with every interaction.
Some of the key updates this year were:
- Setting up a routine with recurring task posts

2. From you, to you: Improvements shaped by customer feedback
Throughout 2024, we’ve continued to make improvements by actively addressing the suggestions you’ve shared with us. Each week, we reviewed and implemented changes to enhance Morningmate based on your feedback.
- Enhanced chat features – from theme settings to “mark all as read”
- Reminders for tasks & events
- Chat conversations added to smart search results
- @mention in chats, threaded reply
- Deleting projects
- Notification filters
- Shortcuts to frequently visited websites in your dashboard

💌 2025 Vision: Inspired by your voice, designed for your needs
Reaffirming our mission to build a tool that truly meet your needs, Morningmate remains dedicated to enhancing task management and collaboration features. This year, we’re launching a major VOC update, crafted around task management and guided by the invaluable insights of our customers.
Let’s dive into some exciting features that are in store for 2025:
1. Enhanced task customization – To better support more complex and dynamic workflows, we’re introducing customization options that would allow teams to tailor task management features to their specific needs and unique team processes.
- Custom task progress status: You’ll be able to modify task progress status for each project. For example, in a Sales team project, the default statuses [Request → Progress → Feedback → Complete → On Hold] would look something like [Inbound → Initial contact → Negotiation → Under review → Won → Lost]
- Custom columns: Add tailored columns such as ‘Date,’ ‘Drop down,’ or ‘Number’ to manage task details more meticulously, all in Morningmate.
2. More subtask depth – For large-scale projects, or multi-phase workflows, we’re expanding the subtask hierarchy. Currently limited to a 3-level structure [Group → Task → Subtasks], you’ll soon be able to created additional subtasks under existing ones.
3. Bird’s eye view on task progress with reports – We’re developing a reporting feature that allows users to create and share tailored task reports. This way, managers can easily get an overview on key task progress across numerous projects at a glance, while team members can save time on status meetings and dedicate their energy to actual work.
4. More integrations and data migration support
- Data migration support – We’re working on ways to make it easier for new users to migrate their data from the tools they’re using to Morningmate, ensuring a smooth transition into their new digital workspace.
- Morningmate for Google Workspace (Coming very soon!) – We have a wide range of advanced integrations with Google Workspace services like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar planned to launch in January.
As Morningmate approaches its 2nd anniversary this year (10th for our Korean service, flow.team!), we’re incredibly grateful for the love and support from our users that have allowed us to grow steadily over the years.
